About 150 km via Mulhouse and Basel, around 1 hr 45 outside peak hours. Pick-up in Colmar or in a village on the Wine Route, drop-off at Zurich-Kloten Airport, at the main station or at your hotel.
By train, the journey takes place in two stages, with no direct service. Here is how it actually works.
For a single traveller staying near Colmar station, in the middle of the day, the train remains cheaper. Door to door, allow about 2 hrs for central Zurich including the connection, a little more for the airport. The villages on the Wine Route, however, have no station.
For a 7 am flight from Zurich-Kloten, you need to be at the terminal by around 5 am. Departure from Colmar is therefore around 3 am - 3.15 am, to absorb the drive and keep a margin.
At that hour, no public transport connects Colmar to Zurich Airport. This is one of the cases where a driver is most justified, along with late-evening returns, holidaymakers staying in a Wine Route village, families, groups and heavy luggage.

Book my journeyAbout 1 hr 45 outside peak hours, for around 150 km via the A35 motorway to Basel, then the Swiss A3 motorway. Delays are possible around Mulhouse and on the approach to Zurich: we set off with a margin.
Yes, for a single traveller staying near Colmar station, in the middle of the day. There is no direct service: TER regional train from Colmar to Basel SBB in 45 to 50 minutes, a connection, then a Swiss train to Zürich HB in about 55 minutes, so roughly 2 hrs door to door. The villages on the Wine Route have no station.
Switzerland is in Schengen but outside the customs union. Bring a form of ID: customs checks are possible. Goods above the allowances must be declared.
No. The Swiss motorway vignette is at the driver's expense, nothing to arrange on the client's side.
In the arrivals hall, with a sign bearing your name. We track your flight number and waiting time due to a flight delay is included at no extra charge.
Hubert with Elsass VTC helped give me the most magical day in France! He was prompt, professional, informative about the area, and suggested other towns to visit based on my time schedule. Hubert made sure I arrived to reservations on time, helped find them, and gave me alloted times for each stop. AND if I was not back, he was contacting me to make sure I found my way back to the vehicle. He provided water, sanitizing wipes, and even gave me some videos and pictures as souvenirs! I not only felt like I had a Chauffeur and body gaurd for the day, but friend. I will definitely be back for another adventure! Thank you so much, Hubert & Elsass VTC ✨️
