How baggage transfer works

1. You book your stages
Tell us your itinerary day by day: where you set off in the morning, where you sleep at night. A two-day stay between Ribeauvillé and Riquewihr or a full week from Molsheim to Eguisheim, no matter the length.
2. We pick up your bags
In the morning, before you set off on foot or by bike, we stop by your hotel, guesthouse or gîte to pick up your luggage. You keep only your small day bag.
3. They're waiting for you at the next stop
Your bags are delivered to your evening accommodation before you arrive. You walk or ride light, without the weight of your luggage, from breakfast to dinner.

Eguisheim
Circular medieval village, birthplace of Pope Leo IX, the classic terminus of this section of the Route des Vins.

Practical info

Rates and organisation

The rate depends only on the distance between the two stages — the number of bags has no effect. We will send you an exact quote as soon as you provide your itinerary day by day.

Pick-up in the morning between 9am and 12pm, delivery to the next accommodation by 5pm. For a multi-day itinerary, a single quote covers the whole stay.

Suitcases, hiking backpacks, bike panniers: all common types of luggage are accepted, up to 4 XXL suitcases, 6 XL suitcases or 8 cabin suitcases. For bulky items (full bike, pushchair), please contact us in advance.

Frequently asked questions about baggage transfer

Can I book a single stage without a full itinerary?

Yes. You can book a simple baggage transfer between two villages, for example between Ribeauvillé and Riquewihr, without committing to a whole stay.

Does baggage transfer also work between villages not listed on this page?

Yes, we cover the whole Route des Vins between Molsheim and Eguisheim, including small villages and hamlets not detailed here. Contact us with your exact itinerary.

How far in advance should I book?

We recommend booking a few days in advance, especially in high season (May to October). Last-minute requests are still possible depending on our availability.

Is the service available all year round?

Yes, 7 days a week. The ideal period for hiking the Route des Vins remains spring and autumn, but the service operates all year round depending on the weather during your stay.
