Thus, Elsass VTC takes you from Barr, Obernai, or Strasbourg directly to the heart of the village — without worrying about parking on the wine roads.

Why choose a VTC

Why choose a VTC in Andlau?

The abbey founded by Sainte Richarde
The Saints Peter and Paul Abbey of Andlau was founded in 880 by Richarde, Empress of the Holy Roman Empire. Its 12th-century Romanesque portal, richly sculpted, is one of the most beautiful in Alsace. Thus, your chauffeur drops you off a few steps from the entrance for a serene visit, without searching for parking.
Three grands crus on a single terroir
Kastelberg (schist), Wiebelsberg (pink sandstone) and Moenchberg (limestone) — three geologies, three expressions of Riesling and Gewurztraminer. Moreover, each estate offers cellar tastings by appointment. Your chauffeur takes you from one to the other, for the day.
Gateway to the Vosges Mountains
Andlau is the starting point for several trails towards the ruins of Andlau Castle and Mont Sainte-Odile. In addition, the Andlau river that flows through the village creates a natural setting appreciated in all seasons. Therefore, a day in Andlau combines culture, wine, and hiking without logistical effort.
The must-sees

The must-sees of Andlau

Saints Peter and Paul Abbey
The abbey has been classified as a Historic Monument since 1862. Its 12th-century Romanesque portal features a frieze of over twenty meters of narrative sculptures. The crypt, open seasonally, houses the reliquary of Sainte Richarde. The exterior area around the abbey offers an exceptional photographic setting, framed by the vines of Moenchberg.
Kastelberg (schist)
The Kastelberg is arguably the most exclusive and fascinating grand cru of Andlau. Its 5.8 hectares of blue schist produce Rieslings with a sharp minerality that often require several years of aging. Discerning enthusiasts make a special trip to taste the vintages in the cellars of Marc Kreydenweiss or Domaine Rieffel.
Wiebelsberg (pink sandstone)
The Wiebelsberg, on pink Vosges sandstone, produces wines that are rounder and more aromatic.
Moenchberg (limestone)
The Moenchberg, with its limestone soil, produces Gewurztraminers of great complexity.
Alleyways and Alsatian architecture
The alleyways of Andlau feature half-timbered houses and preserved Alsatian architecture, with a pedestrian center. Your chauffeur drops you off at the entrance to the village, a two-minute walk from the abbey.
